Why It Matters

Why Universities Need These Workshops

The cybersecurity skills gap is widening just as quantum computing rewrites the rules. Academic curricula need industry-grade, future-facing content to keep graduates relevant and employable.

Close the Skills Gap

The industry faces a persistent shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals. Hands-on, practitioner-led workshops give students the practical, in-demand skills that traditional theory-heavy courses often miss.

Stay Ahead of the Quantum Shift

Quantum computers capable of breaking today's encryption could arrive by 2030–2035. Graduates who already understand post-quantum cryptography and crypto-agility enter the workforce a decade ahead of the curve.

Modernise the Curriculum

We co-design modules that map to your existing syllabus and accreditation goals, bringing real tools, real attack scenarios, and current frameworks (NIST PQC, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK) into the classroom.

Strengthen Research & Projects

Mentorship from active practitioners elevates capstone projects, theses, and research — connecting academic work to live industry problems in PQC, secure development, and applied AI.

Boost Employability & Placements

Industry-recognised skills, certificates, and exposure to recruiters make graduates more placement-ready — a measurable boost to your institution's outcomes and reputation.

Build Industry Bridges

Workshops open the door to internships, guest lectures, joint labs, and long-term collaboration — positioning your department as a hub for emerging security and AI talent.

What We Offer

Training, Mentorship & Workshops for Academia

Flexible engagement models that fit a single guest lecture, a semester-long module, or a multi-year partnership.

Curriculum-Integrated Training

Semester-aligned modules across post-quantum cryptography, cloud and IT security, digital forensics, secure development, and applied & agentic AI — mapped to your syllabus and ready for credit-bearing courses, electives, or certificate programs, co-delivered with your faculty.

Student & Faculty Mentorship

One-on-one and cohort mentorship guiding capstone projects, research, thesis work, and CTF competition teams. Faculty development programs keep your educators current, while students gain a direct line to practitioners and clear career pathways into cybersecurity and AI.

Workshops, Bootcamps & Hackathons

Immersive on-campus and virtual workshops, intensive bootcamps, guest lectures, and hackathons with hands-on labs on NIST PQC standards, secure development, digital forensics, and agentic AI — designed to spark interest, build job-ready skills, and showcase your students.

Case Study: Techno India University

A hands-on Digital Forensics workshop delivered on-campus for students and faculty.

Techno India University partnered with QSECS to run a hands-on Digital Forensics workshop for its computer science and engineering students. The goal: move beyond textbook theory and give students practical, investigation-grade skills aligned with how real incidents are handled in the field.

Working with the university's faculty, our practitioners co-designed a focused program covering evidence acquisition and chain-of-custody, disk and memory forensics, log and network analysis, and forensic readiness in a world where classical cryptographic assumptions are weakening. Each module paired a short concept briefing with a guided lab on real tools and realistic case scenarios.

Faculty co-delivered alongside QSECS mentors, and standout students were guided toward extending their work into capstone and competition projects — leaving the department with reusable lab material and a template for future cybersecurity engagements.

What Was Delivered

Reusable lab material and a blueprint for ongoing cybersecurity workshops

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything academic leaders, faculty, and placement teams ask before partnering with QSECS.

We work with universities, colleges, polytechnics, and research institutions — supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, and faculty. Engagements are tailored to the audience, from introductory awareness sessions to advanced, research-grade labs.

Our catalogue spans post-quantum cryptography, IT and cloud security, digital forensics, secure development, security awareness and red teaming, and applied & agentic AI. We map content to your syllabus, department focus, and the students' level, and can build custom modules on request.

Both. We deliver on-campus, fully online, or in a hybrid format. Hands-on labs run on cloud-hosted or local environments so students can practise on real tools regardless of the delivery mode.

Yes. We co-design modules that align with credit-bearing courses, electives, and certificate programs, and we issue certificates of completion to participants. We work with your faculty so the content fits your academic and accreditation requirements.

Absolutely. Faculty development programs (FDPs) keep your educators current on emerging threats and tooling, and we co-deliver sessions so your team can confidently carry the material forward in future cohorts.

It is flexible. We run everything from a single guest lecture or a one-to-two-day intensive workshop to multi-week bootcamps and semester-long modules. We'll recommend the right format based on your goals, calendar, and the depth you want students to reach.

Yes. We design and run hackathons and Capture-the-Flag (CTF) events end to end — challenge design, infrastructure, judging, and mentorship — and we can prepare and coach your students' competition teams for external events as well.
